Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Diver Course is the most recognized certification in the world, opening all of the oceans for exploration and adventure. The course provides new divers with the knowledge and training to safely explore our exciting undersea world. It is a performance based curriculum, enabling students to progress at their own speed. The course includes three elements, classroom, pool and open water instruction. State of the art teaching techniques and tools are included in the curriculum in order to ensure the content is up to date and exciting.

A & H Aquatic Adventures offers an all inclusive package. This package includes course material, regulator, BCD and weights, as well as, all air fills. Flexible schedules can be accommodated.  


In the PADI Open Water Diver course, your Instructor takes you through the basics of learning how to scuba dive. You start in a pool or pool like conditions and progress to the open water (ocean, lake, quarry, etc.) getting the background knowledge along the way. As you continue your adventure and gain experience through higher training levels, your opportunities expand.

Prerequisites:

Minimum 10 years of age for Junior Open Water Diver and 15 for Open Water Diver
Good Health, Reasonable Fitness and Comfortable in the water
A Completed Medical Form is required

Program: 5 Knowledge Development Modules, 5 Pool Dives, 4 Open Water Training Dives

Course Material:

Student Crew-Pak Options
   A.  Open Water Manual, Recreational Dive Planner, Log book and Video
   B.  Multi-Media (CD ROM), Recreational Dive Planner, Log book and Video

Course Fee:

$595 – Includes Course Material and PADI Certification,if program is completed through A & H Aquatic Adventures

$395 -- Includes Course Material, Class Work and 5 Confined Water Dives, if program is not being completed with A&H Aquatic Adventures and referral is necessar

Note:  Four Open Water Dives are required to complete your training.  These dives are not included in the $395 price, if you are requesting a referral.  If you are being referred to A & H Aquatic Adventures, the fee is $200 and includes your PADI Certification Card

Flexible schedules are available for an additional $100
Private classes are available for an additional $200

Equipment:

Includes all scuba equipment for pool dives and open water training dives, if taking the full Open Water Program with A & H Aquatic Adventures.
